A performer can be anyone who gets up on their stage and does something (be it creative, artistic, shocking, bloody, etc.). Many of the following have gone to great lengths to present their vision. Most of those listed here suspend, skewer, pull, implant, and do stuff that you probably should not attempt at home (go to your friendly neighborhood piercer's home) or if you are pregnant or have heart conditions.
