A suspension group (or suspension team) is a group of people who meet regularly to perform. Events organized by different suspension groups vary greatly in format. Some hold large public events, some restrict entry to only a few close friends. Some groups also hold suspension performances.
Many suspension groups have profiles on suspension.org and group members use the forums there (as well as IAM forums) to discuss technique and new ideas.
