Joy Rumore, (IAM: the milkmaid), is a professional tattoo artist. She began her career in tattoo art apprenticing for Jerry Schwartz of Accupicture Tattoo in Middletown, Rhode Island in February 2001. Since then, she has worked at X Body Art Emporium (Swansea, Massachusetts), University Tattoo (Providence, Rhode Island), Darkside Tattoo (East Haven, Connecticut), PURE BODY ARTS (Brooklyn, New York), and Venus (New York, New York).

Joy spent the summer of 2006 traveling to shops around and country to guest spot. May 1st, 2007 she is opening her own shop: Twelve 28 Tattoo on 142 Havemeyer Street in Brooklyn, New York. You can reach her through the shop's website or her personal site. Although she's found a rather permanent location, she will continue to guest spot and travel, so destination suggestions are more than welcome. She is also a member of the Rites of Passage Suspension Group and may be contacted regarding suspension, as well.

Originally from Stamford, Connecticut, Joy holds a BA in Anthropology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Purchase College and has done both Archaeological and Forensic Anthropological research. While in college, she was the Director of her family's Non-Profit Organization, the Juvenile Diabetes Enrichment Fund, also based in Stamford. Her next ventures include The Milkmaid, LLC merchandising and the Foundation for Latex Allergy Awareness.
