Shane Faulkner was a Toronto-based tattoo artist and the owner of King of Fools. King of Fools Tattoos was a private, appointment-based, custom tattoo studio.

Shane has been tattooing for nearly 20 years and works within the influences of many styles including Japanese, Renaissance-era, comic book and film-themed tattoos.

Shane went on to open the studio Tell Tale Heart Tattoo in Oakville, Ontario.

Shane also sang in the band Redeemer.

Shane and his partner Jovanka have 1 daughter, Violet.

On May 13, 2022, Shane passed away after a battle with cancer.

Awards and Recognition

  • 1st place winner of the 2005 STAR WARS celebration conventions BEST LARGE TATTOO, for his "Evolution of the Storm Trooper" sleeve.
  • 1st place at the 2004 Quebec convention for BEST LARGE BLACK AND GREY TATTOO.
  • Featured on the new BLADE RUNNER ULTIMATE EDITION DVD COLLECTION, for his Blade Runner-themed sleeve on partner Jovanka Vuckovic, former Editor-in-Chief of horror publication - RUE MORGUE MAGAZINE.
  • Featured in the Star Wars coffee table book Forced in Flesh.
