Horizontal Hood Piercing is a horizontal piercing placed through the clitoral hood.

Hood piercings are probably the most common female piercings, due in part to the fact that they are both sensual and fast-healing. Ideally the bead of the ring rests on the aroused clitoris, although a series of piercings creating a hood ladder would be analogous to the male frenum ladder.
