Earpit Irritation

From BME Encyclopedia
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Earpit irritation is irritation that some people get at the connecting point between earlobe and head, often in the spring.

Stretched lobe piercings can exaggerate this irritation and even cause the tissue to thicken and scar. If this is your situation, you may be stuck choosing between putting up with this irritation or taking out the stretched lobes.

Note on name

When Shannon Larratt was first writing the BME encyclopedia, he didn't know what to call this body part, so he called it "earpit" (as in "armpit").
