A deep shaft piercing is a term used to describe piercings on a male that pass through the penile shaft. They are most commonly seen in the form of deeply placed ampallangs and apadravyas.
They are more rare piercings due to pain, difficulty in piercing, excessive bleeding, and massive heal times. Common placement is directly behind the head of the penis, but they can be placed farther back.
