April Fools

BME regularly publishes April Fools articles in its news section (as well as occasional edits to the IAM software) to celebrate the April 1st "holiday." These are often picked up by the mainstream media and other bloggers as real, and as they say, hilarity ensues. Past articles have included:
- 2008: Got Your Nose, in which a man named "Witz Sinariz" talks about his nose amputation.
- 2005: Love at First Bite, in which two lovers (Gillian Hyde and Clive Mathias, a well-known real life BME couple) bite off each others' fingers as a sign of commitment.
- 2004: The Raelians: Building Better Humans?, in which the Raelians (a real UFO cult, although the interview is fake) discuss genetic engineering to build a new breed of humans.
- 2003: Joshua: Transdimensionally Modified, in which a young man surgically transforms himself into an alien because of an alien encounter.
- 1999: Adding and Subtracting, in which a pair of twins transplant one arm to another and more. The twins are played by Ryan O'Brien, and you can read some of the feedback here. This was the first prank interview BME ever published, and remains the most popular (with the 2005 one a close second).
