A navel industrial is two or more navel piercings connected with a single barbell. In general, the navel is first pierced and healed with separate pieces of jewelry; then a single piece of jewelry is inserted. Care should be taken to make sure the jewelry chosen does not put undue pressure on the piercings (which could result in rejection). Note that with the use of tygon or other flexible jewelry, rejection is less of an issue than it would be with an inflexible barbell.
