There are many different types of clamps with many different uses in the body modification community. These range from simple piercing procedure clamps to castration tools.

Some examples of common clamps are:

  • Mosquito clamps are small clamps which can be used for needle holding and support in piercing, as well as for alternative procedures like tissue crushing on meatotomy. Available with both curved and straight tips.
  • Septum clamps form a tube, usually used when doing septum piercings.
  • Foerster clamps are most commonly used for tongue piercings, but can be used for virtually any other piercing as well. Available both with and without a needle slot.
