Portrait of Carl Panzram by artist Joe Coleman

Carl Panzram (1891-1930), executed for the murder of Robert Warnke, the foreman of the Fort Leavenworth Prison laundry, where Panzram was incarcerated at the time.

Panzram had boasted of being responsible for more than 21 murders, but authorities believe that, for once, he was being modest and estimate the true figure at least double.

Why is Panzram pertinent to BME?

Whilst we cannot condone murder in any way, Carl Panzram did engage in acts that do have relevance to Body Play

Panzram Quote

His last words to his executioner— "Hurry it up, you Hoosier bastard! I could hang 10 men while you're fooling around!"
