GaugeWheel.jpg

A device for quickly identifying wire gauge.

A gauge wheel has a range of holes/slots around its circumference, each one matching a wire gauge. By finding the smallest slot that a piece of jewelry fits into, its gauge can be quickly identified. It's also useful for seeing what gauge household objects are!

Gauge wheels can be purchased at hardware stores.
