Electrical tape is a stretchy type of tape used to insulate a conductive material or wire. Electrical tape is sometimes used for wrapping around the outside edge of plugs or other body jewelry for the purpose of stretching; however, some people may have reactions to this tape or the adhesives used in it. This risk makes teflon tape, also called "plumber's tape" a safer choice.
