ManWoman was a primary figure in the effort to rehabilitate the swastika after it was perverted by Adolf Hitler as a symbol of Nazi Germany surrounding World War Two. Although the swastika symbol was used prior to WWII to represent peaceful concepts such as the sun and divine enlightenment, it is presently viewed in a negative light due to association with the evil ideals of Nazism. ManWoman's particular contribution to the purification of the swastika symbol was his collection of several hundred "gentle" swastika tattoos originating from various cultures.

His quest began with a religious vision in which a holy man approached ManWoman and showed him a radiant swastika - he said, "Take this as your sign, and use it as your own symbol, because it has to be freed from the taint of the Nazis. It is a symbol of the Divine, and you should take it as your task to purify it... or purify people's attitude toward it." Since then, he has worked tirelessly to take the tarnished (at least here in the West) symbol, and return it to its former glory.

He wrote a book called Homesick for Eternity which can be bought on BMEshop here.

After a battle with cancer, ManWoman died on November 13, 2012 at approximately 4:38am.

Quotes

I like to think that God is dreaming and we are the dream. I wake up in the morning and I say, gee, that was an interesting dream, but you know what? I’m gonna wake up from this life when I die and go, boy, that was an interesting dream! And I've had a really interesting life.

Find the gift that's in you. The fact is, you're in this world as a gift from God to the world. So you know, get busy doing it. That's my final word.
