ModCon was an annual (and PRIVATE) convention for the heavily modified.
The world's first and only large scale convention for people into advanced body modification, ModCon was an annual invitation-only event sponsored by Shannon Larratt/BME, and held in Toronto. It usually took place in the early summer.
Invitees met, mingled and had the chance to have procedures performed by invited practitioners and to have professional photos taken of them. In addition to the event itself, ModCon produced a CD-ROM (for the 1999 convention) and a beautiful colour and black/white photo book, accompanied by an hour-long VCD.
Attendance was limited and by invite only.
