Cause

If jewelry is loose in places such as the lip, nose, or mouth and opens accidentally, the wearer may may aspirate (breathe in) the jewelry and/or the bead. If this happens, they should seek medical attention immediately.

Risk can be lessened by making sure the jewelry beads are properly affixed.
