Torsion is when the spermatic cords, blood vessels, nerves or other connections inside the scrotum, between the testicles and the body get twisted. Symptoms include severe pain, scrotal swelling, nausea and vomiting. This is a very serious condition as it can cut off blood supply to the testicles, resulting in possible loss of that testicle.
