Dennis Avner (born August 27, 1958) of Whidbey Island, Washington, United States, was widely known as the "Catman" though he preferred his Native American name, Stalking Cat. A mix of Huron and Lakota, Stalking Cat had spent considerable resources to surgically modify his body to resemble that of a tiger, aided primarily by Steve Haworth and Mexican cosmetic surgeons.

Although much of his face was covered in tiger patterns, his body was covered in fish scales. Dennis served in Vietnam as a sonar submarine technician in the Navy.

Stalking Cat passed away on November 5, 2012, he was 54.
