Robert Ripley, born in 1890 in Santa Rosa, California as LeRoy Ripley, was an artist and radio host who spent his career traveling the world and "collecting" odd facts, curios and experiences.
Having visited over 198 countries, Ripley later opened "Odditorium" Museums filled with the spoils of a life of adventure.
