On the animated television show The Simpsons, located in the Springfield Mall next door to The Popcorn Shack is The Happy Sailor Tattoo Parlor. Bart was tattooed here in the episode "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" (1989), and it is where Kent Brockman is shown having a large dragon backpiece done in the opening sequence for "Eye on Springfield".
