The term Celtic refers to anything stemming from the tradition of a group of people historically based in what is now Great Britain and parts of Western Europe. Although many typically associate "Celtic" with "Irish," this is not always the case, as both in the past and today it can also refer to the art, traditions, and culture of those in Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and various areas surrounding these places.

Celtic artwork is popular, and often adapted for tattooing. Popular designs include celtic knots (such as a trinity knot) and Celtic crosses, as well as various other symbols.

Celtic is pronounced with a hard K, rather than a soft 'C,' as heard in the Celtic bastketball team.
