Jewelry Aspiration is when one inhales their adornments.

Cause

If jewelry is loose in places such as the lip, nose, or mouth and opens accidentally, the wearer may may aspirate (breathe in) the jewelry and/or the bead. If this happens, they should seek medical attention immediately.

Risk can be lessened by making sure the jewelry beads are properly affixed.
