'''cicatrix''' is the medical term for a scar that is left over a wound. It is formed by new connective tissue growing to cover the healing injury. Once it has covered the wound, the cicatrix will contract and leave a white scar.

frowny

A Frowny is a piercing through the lower lip frenulum, essentially an inverted smiley piercing (scrumper). A frowny is usually a ring placed through the webbing that sits central on the lower lip. This piercing is generally considered to be a "private" piercing since it does not usually show when smiling like an upper lip one does. The exception to this is when a large diameter CBR is worn, allowing the ball to rest on the top of the lower teeth, though this can cause gum erosion and lead to tooth decay.

This piercing was named by Israeli piercer Sarai Bismuth, who also named the Frowny's opposite the Smiley piercing.
